Commodity Trading
DPINVEST markets major grains such as wheat, corn, rice, sugar and soybeans. We follow a global trading strategy interconnected with existing national and international trade flows to service our main clients in Africa and the Middle East. Our main grain source markets are MERCOSUR and LATAM. A deep understanding of trade flows and client needs enables grain traders to take full advantage of global arbitrage opportunities and pass these cost and solution benefits along the supply chain. Our products range from generic grains to specific high protein, high quality wheats.
Management
Agriculture Management DPINVEST has in its team people with extensive experience in the construction of large agricultural companies. From the acquisition of land suitable for agriculture and sheep and beef production to the operational and administrative organization to form a large agricultural production company of more than one hundred thousand hectares. Other Projects DPINVEST is also open to manage and administer other productive projects in other countries according to our capabilities and experience.
Shipping & Logistics
Ocean transportation of various bulk commodities, such as grain and steel-related products, from both DPINVEST and third parties. The ocean freight department charters and manages vessels, and coordinates DPINVEST's bulk transportation needs including daily fuel requirements and associated hedging. The team manages the logistics side of the business and excels in its commitment to reliable, safe and timely delivery of goods. All physical aspects of bulk freight transportation are considered. This includes the chartering and management of vessels between 5,000 and 50,000 dwt. DPINVEST projects the management of more than 8 million tons of cargo, trades derivatives and manages multiple vessels chartered on a period basis. DPINVEST has highly experienced associates who support the trading groups and effectively manage an extensive network of port agents, bunker suppliers, insurance companies and other related service providers to ensure smooth execution and timely deliveries.
Trade Finance
DPINVEST's business model revolves around providing supply chain solutions to key clients and building long-term partnerships around our clients' sourcing needs. In many cases, this includes flexible payment terms and other structured trade finance solutions to meet each client's specific requirements. To achieve this, we work with specialized international banks that are tailored to a variety of situations. The financing activity is closely integrated with the various trading teams, ensuring that clients have access to the most up-to-date market information for optimal risk management. DPINVEST works with products and services such as letters of credit, payment solutions against other commodities to secure supply.
